Unlike fabric bellows, telescopic covers can be walked on (in some designs) and withstand heavy impact. Each steel box section is equipped with high-performance wipers that clean the section below it as it retracts, preventing debris ingress. They are custom-engineered to match the machine's travel speed and dimensions.

Built to handle heavy loads of wet metal chips, this tray is fully welded to prevent coolant leakage onto the shop floor. Many models feature a perforated false bottom or a drain valve to allow valuable coolant to separate from the chips for recovery. Stainless steel construction ensures it resists rust from water-based coolants.

Apron covers are ideal for Z-axis protection or areas with minimal retraction space. The metal links are connected by flexible polyurethane joints or hinges. They form a rigid surface that deflects heavy chips but can roll over a small radius drum, making them highly space-efficient.

This cover works like a window shade but is built for harsh environments. As the machine head moves down, it pulls the cover; as it moves up, the spring roller retracts it. This keeps the guideways behind the head covered at all times. The housing protects the mechanism from chips.
